Last week I traveled to the lovely San Diego to experience the launch of cabi spring! My time at cabi scoop is always a week of absolute fun! Truly…we all gather around with our peers and teach each other. We are constantly learning, pushing ourselves and strengthening who we want to be as stylists and women. For a company with close to 4000 women, it’s always crazy to me that there is no rivalry, just a time to learn from each other.
When I started 15 years ago, I thought it was absolutely crazy that everyone wore their cabi to the “Scoop”. I have never wanted to look like everyone else! Well…believe it or not, we all have the same clothes, but not one person is the same! Really…everyone comes in with their own unique style. It’s a site to see!
What To Pack
You can imagine packing for Scoop is tough. You are dealing with a group of fashionistas! So outfits and shoes become important. First world problems non the less, but important in our world. Now, I will say that I have learned over the years to calm my fetish for high heels down. I mean a girl can only walk so long in high heels. Thank God for the sneaker trend!! LOL . I mean it has totally saved me. 😉 I usually get pieces out and hang them on a rack and begin putting looks together. As I create my looks, I try to use a pair of shoes at least twice! I used to carry a suitcase just for shoes…I mean I have issues. A girl and her shoes! Here are a few looks I put together for my event.
Why The Fuss With Training
I have to say that my time at cabi scoop rejuvenates me for the new season. It’s why training is so important to the leaders of our company. History shows that we are more productive in our work when we gather together to experience all that the new season brings. I know when I got home I hit the ground running ready to share my fire for cabi spring.
The desires of my heart are to always deliver one on one personal relationships with each of you I style. I mean where do we get that in our new world of everything online? It’s not archaic to spend quality time getting to know the needs of your clients. It’s a true privilege for me. The way we see ourselves can change our world. I remember when I found cabi, I was at my lowest. Single, raising three kids…it brought financial security for me, but most importantly it changed the way I viewed myself. I went from feeling like I was a failure to adopting an attitude that I was capable of anything. CHANGED MY LIFE!
I want to end with this…clothes are not supposed to fill a void in our life. Feeling good in your own skin, the size you are today, is what makes my heart happy. If I can bring a touch of joy to your life, like you have given me over the years…well….that’s the reward!
As always, thanks for reading along with me everything I find fabulous,
