Plaid is definitely having its turn this fall as the must have pattern. Mixing my favorite plaid jacket three ways for you! I love a good plaid…the way we can mix patterns and textures and still feel elegantly classic. I think this season is the season to take chances and mix anything you want up! Seriously, the way we can juxtapose skin prints, patterns and plaids together and make them work, makes creating looks so fun and personal. Now is the time to be bold and brave!
Blazers And Soft Silhouettes
This plaid blazer has to be one of my favorite pieces from our fall cabi line. This is a timeless piece that will elevate your wardrobe and stay classic for many seasons. These are the pieces I love to fill my closet with. Classic lines with a touch of personality. The colors are so unique. There is this touch of teal, orange and magenta striping over a navy background. So vibrant!
Who else loves mixing soft fabrics with heavier pieces? I am so in love with the slip skirt trend. It’s such a flattering fit and I love the femininity feel to it. Don’t even get me started on the elastic waist for most of them! 😉 I have paired this skirt with Sneakers and booties as well as a strappy sandal. I would truly wear it with a tall boot as well. It’s okay if it’s tucked up under your skirt. The A-line form to this skirt allows the walking room.
Mixing Your Prints
Right after you grab this darling plaid blazer, a must have is anything snakeskin or leopard. It’s easy to upgrade your shoe game with a pair of great boots, booties or flats in a skin print. What I love about this trend is that it doesn’t really ever go out of style…it’s just magnified this season! So it’s a win for longevity in your closet. I feel like I tried on a million pairs of high snakeskin boots and with my skinny “Olive Oil” legs, it’s so hard to find a pair that don’t look ridiculous around my calf. You old timers will get the “Olive Oil” reference! 😉 . These were my favorite!
Finding Similar Shades work
I want to reiterate how anything goes this season when mixing up your skin prints. I was determined to show how various shades of snakeskin can be paired together. Hopefully it works for you too?
Jackets have to be hands down my favorite pieces for fall and winter. I know I live in Texas and that sounds ridiculous…but I just crank the air down and dress like I’m in frigid cold weather. Turn on the fireplace and pretend…I have to do what I have to do. I keep inviting my husband to retire with me on the East Coast 😉 He is such a Texas guy….
Well, I am hoping that this has created a love for this plaid jacket. Don’t forget to send me pics when you are all out there sporting your look in it. I LOVE when you do that BTW!
