Well it’s that time again…Houston Rodeo line up is out and we are gearing up to hit the Rodeo again. I have 2 Rodeo looks just in time for you! Here’s the deal, add a pair of boots to just about anything and you’re already ahead! I found this darling dress the other day at a local store out here called Hemline, and I knew right when I saw it that it was going to pair back fabulous to a pair of boots. I am not going to lie that some self tanner on those legs probably wouldn’t hurt either! 😉
It’s Always Cold At The Rodeo
It never fails… we find these darling outfits just in time for Rodeo and then it’s freezing outside. Sometimes a jacket can ruin the whole look! LOL! So, I decided to find something that you could easily wear over a dress. My dress seemed to be a little on the short side, so any type of cropped jacket was just not going to sit proportionately well on me. So, adding a longer layer to the dress elongated my dress. This darling cardigan is a vintage cabi piece, but we have a grey one in our current spring line that would make an awesome outer layer.
I added this bag from Zara to my look because every time we head to a stadium or concert, they are not allowing bags anymore. This bag is perfect. If I am heading to a venue this large, I like to have a crossbody that I don’t have to fidget with all night.
It Can Be Any Kind Of Boot
Back in high school, most of my friends were hardcore Rodeo girls. I am talking Rocky Mountain Jeans, Ropers…the works. They always looked the part. Well, I was the girl with skinny legs and big feet and that just didn’t work for painted on jeans and big boots! You think I have skinny legs now? You should have seen them back then!! HA! Plus, it just wasn’t me. I was may more of a priss back then. I know crazy…
So, off I went to the rodeo in my heels and Luv it jeans! You know the ones! The jeans that had the pics on the back of the pockets? Matching shirts? Lord…the vision of that! LOL! Anyway, my point to this, is that you can truly rock anything. Just own it and you will be beautiful. I didn’t care that I didn’t look like everyone else. Looking back, I love that they all gave me a hard time about it. Fabulous memories with my high school sweeties!
This darling blouse screams Rodeo right? This Bronco blouse is from our cabi spring line and I love it! I feel like it also has the pajama top trend mixed in the look as well. I can also picture this top with a high waisted pair of wide leg trousers and a wedge sandal. Kinda glam…
Rodeo is a big deal out here. There is something about this time that has everyone thinking what outfit they can sport with a great pair of boots. For some of us, it’s our time to dress out of the box and sport something we don’t wear everyday. You know…embrace our Texas roots! 😉
